Father's Day BBQ

On Saturday we had a BBQ to celebrate Father's Day. Vern cooked steaks and Susan made some delicious baked beans, did a yummy fruit platter, cucumbers, and pasta salad. Everything tasted so good and it was fun to spend time with family. Brian even brought over his new snowie machine and made everyone shaved ice. YUM!!

Father's!

There is just something about girls and their daddies. I remember as a little girl playing all sorts of games with my dad. I loved watching his tv shows with him, watching him cook dinner and getting to go to basketball games. I remember always having leg aches and he would rub my legs until I fell asleep. Now I watch him play with Adelaide and I can see how much he loves her. Thanks for always taking care of me Dad. I LOVE YOU!!

Vern is the best father-in-law I could ask for. He is the kindest most unselfish person I know. Every time I see him he immediately stands up and gives me a hug. He would do anything for anyone and is such a great example to me and my family. Just yesterday Cole was doing something and said, "oh my gosh that is what Vern would do...I really am turning into Vern." That is ok with me! I LOVE YOU Vern!! He also is so dang cute with Adelaide. He is constantly trying to get her to do new tricks. It is so funny!

Cole is such a good daddy!! It is so fun to watch him interact with Adelaide. As soon as he walks in the door he has her smiling and laughing at him. Cole is such a good help with her. He will change her bum, get her dressed, feed her food and the list goes on. I love hearing him say how much he loves her. She already has him wrapped around her finger. I can tell I will be the bad guy and he will always be the good one. WE LOVE YOU COLE!!!

Swimming

On Memorial Day Cole's sister Katie invited everyone to come over and swim. This was Adelaide's first time so I was really excited to take her. She loves the bath so I thought she would like the pool. Well she was ok for part of the time, but for the most part she didn't really enjoy it.Before she got out her Aunt Mandi taught her to get use to water in her face. She only lasted about 10 minutes in the pool, but it was still fun to get in with her. I thought she looked so cute in her swimsuit! Thanks Brittney! My friend Brittney Hanks sells swimsuits so if anyone is interested you can get on her blog and check them out. essentialswimwear.blogspot.com Every tuesday she highlights one item for sale. They all are so cute and at a good price!

Here are a couple of my husband going off the diving board. We are looking forward to our next swimming adventure! Thanks for letting us come over Abrams!!

Great Idea!

I got a great idea on my friend Laura's blog to make dresses for little girls from Africa. Staying home all day and not really having any friends up here (I know I am a loser) I have been trying to find different ideas to take up some time. I started to make a blanket for Adelaide before she was born, but didn't finish and was sick of it. I have never really done anything on my own so this was my first sewing project other than in school. I think it turned out pretty good as long as you don't look to close. I think it's the cute fabric I found that really made it.
Of course I can't post something without putting a cute picture of Adelaide. Don't mind the clothes by her...I was doing some laundry.
